Pair of medium-sized earrings featuring a distinctive hand-chiseled Kultrum, worked in high and low relief. Diameter: 4.5 cm. Total length: 5.5 cm. Piece made of silver ally. Designed and manufactured in Argentina.

The Kultrum is much more than a drum: it is a sacred microcosm. Its concave body, traditionally made from canelo or laurel wood and covered with leather, contains seeds, grains, coins, and herbs representing fertility, abundance, and healing. On its drumhead, a cross marks the four cardinal directions and the three levels of the cosmos — Wenu Mapu (the sky), Nag Mapu (the earth), and Minche Mapu (the world below). In the hands of the machi, its sound calls upon the ancestors and sustains the balance between the spiritual and earthly realms: it is a worldview made into an object, ceremonial art of use that continues to resonate today.
